AVIATION SCHOOL.

A CANTERBURY ENTERPRISE. At the invitation of the Hon H. F. Winram, about forty representative c : tizens met at the Chamber cf Commerce Hall last evening to consider the promotion of an Aviation School in Canterbury. .His Worship the Mayor presided. Mr Wigrani outlined the results of inquiries as to the projects of an aviation school and the mains whereby it might be established and maintained. The objects are—first, to train aviators for the war; secondly, to promote aviation for local defence purposes; and thirdly, to encourage the science in its commercial aspects. After discussion, in which much expert knowledge was imparted by Lieutenant Scotland, the well-known aviator, it was unanimously resolved to form a, company, and establir-h -a Canterbury Aviation School. An influential provisional board of directors was appointed.
