THE EVERYDAY PERFORMANCE OF THE t The following "Extract'' from the "Star'' gives yon some idea of what tile Twin King Dick motor-cycles are doing every day in the week. One often reads in the papers what this and that machine lias done in Australia, etc., but what the business man or the motorist mants to know is which machine is most suited for local conditions. This unbiased article serves to bear out all we have said regarding the capabilities of the "Twin' King Dick," especially from an economical point of view, one of the most important factors of motoring. The extract reads:— "It may interest tradesmen who have in view the purchasing of a motor-cycle outfit for delivering purposes to read what a member \>f the 'Star' publishing department has clone with a 6-7 h.p. twin-cylinder machine and side carrier capable of carrying 1500 Saturday night ' Stars.' By the aid of a record book which is kept in the office, it has been ascertained that he travelled over 904 miles during the month of October, many trips being made to Kaiapoi, Rangiora and. Leeston. Every Saturday night a trip is made to Rangiora "with "a load weighing about 3cwt. sometimes considerably over this weight, in addition to the driver, whose weight is over 12st. The trip to Rangiora generally under an hour, during which 'time a number of stops have to be made to make deliveries, so it can easily be seen that the machine gets a good deal of rough handling, "in fact, few machines get rougher work than those used by a newspaper office. The machine in question has been in use for about eighteen months, and during that time it has had a' clean once. The driver states that he has never had any stops whatever, except through tyre troubles. He is' able to make two trips to Rangiora. on a tank of petrol (li gallons)." The twin "King Dicks" have also ■demonstrated in competition bv defeating all makes and powers both for Reliability and Petrol consumption in three successive championships that they defy comparison. A Jarge shipment of the latest models just arrived also the Harley-Davidson Sensational* Record Breakers. Inspection invited. Trials by appointment.
