" In vour telegram of December 29 you stated: "this month's quota available when you advise ' As banded by you to Christ-church newspapers the 'message reads: ' Monthly quota available when you advise.' giving an entirely different meaning, as the latter implies that future payments will l)e made* up as well as ' December. The Minister will bo glad to know whether the revised version supplied by you to the Christchurch newspapers is the correct one, and whether the correct meaning of your telegram of December 29 is that executive will provide balance of future monthly quotas on being advised. If assured on this point by the executive, tbe money will be immediately transmitted as requested." The executive met to-day and passed the following resolution: — '''That the matter concerning the remittance of £2OOO forwarded on December 8 to the Minister of Internal Affairs be referred to the fund's (Solicitor, with instructions to see tliat the executive's wishes as expressed in their letters and telegrams are earned out without delay."
