The committee of the Australian and New Zealand Merchants' Association has resolved that as German submarine activity inflicted considerable losses on British hero and in tho Dominions, the committee suggests that the British and colonial Governments should levy immediately after the war special port dutie.s in addition to the customary port rates on German and Austrian vessels entering the ports of the Empire.
