GAUDIN'S SENTENCE. (By Telegraph—Special to the u Star.") WELLINGTON, October o. The A to L Committee recommends tho Government to tako immediate steps' to put on record the fact that while F.. E. N. Gaudin was guilty of a breach of military law, for which_ he was punished, ho was in no way guilty of either treasonous conduct or intent. Tho committee expresses the opinion that the sentence of live years imposed by tho Military Court is out of all proportion to the offence.
