WELLINGTON AWARD

[Per Press Association - .] WELLINGTON, November 12. An Arbitration Court award in a dispute brought by the Wellington Hairdressers' Assistants' Union was filed yesterday. The main provisions aro for fifty-two hours a week, the hours to be fixed according to the needs of individual shops. The minimum wage for journeymen, or journey women, is 55s weekly. Those at present receiving more than that amount are not to be reduced. Apprentices shall be in the proportion of one to three journeymen, and the wages are:—First year, not less than 10s weekly: second year, 15s: third year, 20s; fourth year, 2.55; fifth year. 355. ihe award will run from November 17 to August 5, 1915.
