The principal topic of conversation along the waterfront this morning was the arrest of the strike leaders, and the comments made on this subject, though interesting, were not such as might he ■judiciously published at present. It is sufficient to say that the watersiders seem to be emphatically of the opinion that the arrest of Mr Semple aad others will not assist in the tfSttfement. of the trouble. A TRYING TASK.
