SWIMMING.
EAST CHRISTCHURCH,
The East Christchurch Amateur Swimming Club received splendid entries for the novelty carnival to be held at the tepid baths on Show Night. The 33iyds handicap brought an entry of forty-nine, and the ladies' handicap twelve, and the numerous novelty events have been well filled. The star event will be the fire dive to bo performed by Mr W. E. Cookson. f A programme for " club night events was drawn up, including races for the ladies' branch.
