AUSTRALASIA'S RESPONSI- . BILITY. United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, January 28. The Hon G. F. Pearco, in the course of a speech at a picnic of Government dockyard employees, said:—"Wo do not intend to allow the question of naval development to rest where it is. Wo are only on the fringe. That the future will be big must be apparent to anyone who looks ahead. We are the predominating white race in the South Pacific. Including New Zealand, we are the only white race. If the whites are to play any part in the history of the Pacific that part must be . played by Australasians. That is a tremendous responsibility, but I believe that Australasia will be capable of .rising to it and fulfilling her destiny."
