At tho morning session to-day, it was announced that Miss Marsden, Nelson, had promised a donation of £IOOO for tho Marsden Memorial, conditionally on five others giving a like sum. Tho Bishop of Auckland moved—- " That the cordial thanks of the Synod be accorded to Miss Marsden for her munificent donation to the Marsden Centenary and the Synod hopes that her examplo of generosity will be followed speedily by many in New Zealand." This was seconded by tlie Bishop of Christchurch, and carried.
