Twenty bodies were recovered from the Macui'ton Mine, blackened beyond recognition. It is now certain that twenty-five escaped but seventy still are unaccounted for. Rescue parties exploring the interior are making ghastly discoveries of bodies in all directions. [Pbr Pbbss Association.] REEK TON", March 22. A contractor named C. E. Dunphy committed suicide at Big River this morning by cutting his throat. No further particulars are to hand. GORE, March 22. Charles Byron, a young man employed on a ballast, train in tho railway yards, was caught between two trucks at 8.30 a.m. this morning. His thigh was crushed, but there wore no bones broken.
