TAILOR MEMORIAL FUND.

A meeting of the executive committee of the T. E. Taylor Memorial Fund was held yesterday at the City Council offices. Mr ■H. Holland occupied the chair, and the-ro were also present Messrs H. W. Bishop, S.M., G. T. Booth, George Bowron, C. E. Salter and the joint secretaries, Messrs J. M'Combs and C. H. Gilby. Tho secretaries reported that there wero a largo number of collecting lists that had not been returned, and directions were given that every effort should be made to have these sent in without delay. The treasurer reported that he had received up to the present date a sum of £2386 19s Sd. A telegram had been received from Auckland stating that the probable returns from there would amount to a further sum of £425. It was also reported that a further sum of' probably £6O, which had been promised in Christchurch, might be expected to come in within the. next few days. Of the sum already received there hod been placed on deposit with the City Council £2IOO, and an additional £2OO would be deposited on the following day. A few small accounts were passed for payment, tho treasurer stating that tho postage and expenses so far amounted to slightly under £SO. Direction# were given for a draft deed of trust to be prepared and submitted to the next meeting of the executive, which would consider it and recommend its adoption by tho General Committee.

It was resolved that the next meeting of the executive be held on Tuesday, November 14, by which date it was Imped nil outstanding; lists would have been received or accounted foT. Persons having subscription lists are urged to Fend them in, whether used or unused, without d^iay.
