Much satisfaction is expressed in Far Eastern financial quarters in London at the granting of a constitution, ensuring for China a strictly limited monarchy, a,nd indicating a prospect of stable government and reforms. It is fully hoped that the present troubles will lead to a greatty improved financial status and an equally improved general administration.

It is reported from Polcin that the Imperialist advance at Hanyang has been checked, despite the rebels losing three field guns.

It is estimated that since Friday 1000 rebels havo been killed and 3000 wounded.
