Dktj.vkenitkss.—Three first offenders for drunkenness were each fined ss, in default twenty-fonr hours' imprisonment.—Patrick M'Ginn, who appeared before the Court tor the forty-third time oil a charge of drunkenness, was sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment.

Theotjoh Drink.—Mary Troon appeared on charges of drunkenness and having broken a prohibition order against herself. The accused cruilty and was fined 10s and costs, in default furty-eisrht hours' imprisonment, for the breach of the order, and was convicted on the charge of drunkenness.

Obscene Language.—Sydney Wilson, a young man, was lined 20s and costs, in default seven daysi' imprisonment, for having used obscene language in a public street. On a further charge of drunkenness he was fined ss, in default twenty-four hours' imprisonment. Alleged False Pretences.—Tom Selwood, alias Herbert (Mr A. T. Donnelly), was remanded for a week on a charge of having obtained the sum of £1 4s from Agnes Green by falsely representing; that he was the agent of Pitcher Brothers, of Melbourne. Bail was allowed, accused in £SO and one surety of £SO.

Alleged Theft. Stanly Hicks pleaded guiltv tf> the theft of a bicycle, valued at £lB, the property of James M'Kay. Ho also pleaded guilty to a further charge of having broken and entered the premises of Thomas Mablv at Kaiapoi. On the application of the police he was remanded" t : ll Friday.
