VANCOUVER, February 4. ; Commercial bodies throughout Canada are makiug representations to Parliament demanding that the reciprocity agreement with the United States shall not be ratified. OPPOSED BY UNITED STATES FARMERS. NEW YORK, February 5. Farmers' organisations, with a membership of a million, are opposing reciprocity, and organising a deputation to the Government demanding that Congress should reject the measure. The leaders declare that all the advantages arc on the side of Canada. I President Taft is planning a speechmaking campaign in the large centres of population in the hope of influencing the Senate in regard to the Reciprocity Bill, which is making slow progress before the Committee of Ways and Means.
