KILLED BY A CAR. [Per Pbess Association.] ■ WELLINGTON, March 5. John Judge, a single man; fifty years of age, who, as far as can bo ascertained has no relatives in New Zealand, was knocked down by a tram-car in CourWay Place last evening, and died shortly afterwards. Mr J. Watson, chief engineer of the s.s. Buteshire, met with an accident whilo rabbiting on the Port Hills yesterday. Ho was running to get a rabbit which he had shot, and, slipping suddenly, fell and broke his leg. Fortunately he was able to be conveyed to the road, and a cart was obtained to carry him to the ship. The surgeon, Dr Fairclough, set the broken bone, and the patient is progressing well.
