ADDINGTON YARDS.

THIS DAY. [Per the "Stab's" Pigeon Express.] There was a large entry of stock at addington to-day, and a satisfactory attendance of the public. Fat Cattle. — 251 head were yarded, the entry including several lines of capital quality. .The la-rge numbers offered resulted in prices being somewhat easier than was the case the previous week. Special sales were : — On account of Mr T. Chapman (Mount Palm), lo steers from £10 10s to £11 17s 6d, and 6 heifers at £8 15s to £8 17s 6d; Mr W F. M. Buckley (Hoon Hay), .11 Steers from £8 16s to £10; Mr J. B. Reid (Darfield), 9 steers from £8 12s 6d to £9 10s. Other steers brought from £o 17s 6d to £10 lte, heifers £4 17s 6d to £8 10s. cows £4 10s to £7 ss. The 1 price of beef ranged from 18b to 22s per 1001 b. jVeal Calves .realised from 3s to los for small and up to £2 14b for largo prime vealers. Fat Lambs. — The yarding was larger than usual, and included some excellent lines of freezers. One or two small pens showed tie beet quality seen at Addington for some time. The export buyers bid freely, and prime freezers were firm at a ©hade above' late rates. The range of prices was: — Prim© freezers 13s to 16s 6d, heavy weights 17s to 18s Bd, light and unfinished 11s to 12s 6d. • Store Sheep. — There was a large entry and a satisfactory demand for all lambs and wethers in forward condition. Lambs brought from 6s to 10s, twotooth wethers. 8s 6d to 9s, four-tooth wethers 12s to 13s 3d, ewes 4s lid. Pigs. — There was a fair entry, and prices for fats were easier as compared with the previous week's rates. Poi'kens brought from 30s to 38s, equal to 4fd to 5Jd : baconers 40s to 50s, equal to 4sd to 4.2 d per lb; heavy baconers 52s to 555, equal to 4d per lb. A line of 40 sent forward by Mr J. Nairn, Doyleston, realised from 51s to 645. Stores sold well at the following rates : — Large 32s to 34s 6d, medium 22s to 30s, small 14s to 20s; suckers 9s to 14b 6d.
