(Reoeived December 12. 8.52 a.m.) LONDON, December 11. , The thorough-bred horse Diamond Jubilee has been sold for 30,000 guineas, to go to Argentina. (Diamond Jubile. was bred in 1897 by his Majesty the King, then the Prince cf Wales, and was by St 'Simon— Poidira 11. He performed moderately as a two-year-old, winning >'>ne race- out of six starts. As ' a three-year-old he won tne Two Thousand Guineas, Newmarket Stakes, Derby, Eclipse Stakes and St Leger, 1 ran second to Merry Gal in the Princes 3of Wales Stakes and was unplaced in the Jockey Club Stakes. At four yeur s old he ran three times, without success. He was than retired to the. Sandlingham stud where he joinod his two fair cus brothers, Florizel 11. and Porsimmou. Up to the piesent, however, Diamond Jubilee has only proved a qualified success as a sire).
