Nothing has been heard of late of the proposed contest which it was said the Dunedin Competitions Society intended to hold in connection with its annual festival during October. This It.ong hody could easily undertake and successfully manage a big contest.. Pro-, bably there is a fear that it would clash with the second grade competir tion of the Otago and Southland.
