There was little change for tbe first half-mile, where Ability moved up. Half" a mile from home Speculate, Lady Lyonors, Ability and Antigone were in close order, just clear of Tirole and De la Rey. A little further on Ability drew to the front* and Clanburn and Calibre both improved their positions. AW ity was first into the straight, and, easily holding his own, he won by two lengths from Tirole, who beat Calibre by three lengths. Time— 2min 9sec. Dividends— Ability £8, Tirole £1.
