(It was officially announced at Chifu that Captain Cuverville, a French Attache, and. Captain Gilgenheim; a German Attache, at Port Arthur, who some months prior to the surrender escaped on a Chinese junk, and were not again heard from, were thrown overboard and drowned. The master and a sailor of the junk have, confessed to the crime.)
