(Received February 23, 8.25 a.m.) ST PETERSBURG, February 22. • The assassin told his gaolers that Grand Duke Scrgius was murdered in order to remove from the weak Czar the pernicious grand ducal influence, and to induce him to become the head of a national Government on Western lines.
