CAPTAIN SCOTT-HARDEN/ . — , — — ♦

Captain Scotfc-Harden, late of the Lancashire Fusiliers, who is at present on a visit to& Christchurch, has recently been in the Far East, as war correspondent to several London journals. He will deliver an illustrated lecture, dealing particularly with the siege of Port Arthur and his experiences with the Russian and Japanese armies in Manchuria, in the Theatre Royal on Monday evening. A southern paper, referring to Captain Scott-Hardens appearance in Dunedin, says that the lecturer's description of how he got into Port Arthur in a Chinese junk was very interesting, and was absolutely free from exaggeration. The pictures by which the lectures are illustrated have been described as excellent.
