CONSUMPTIVE HOSPITAL ANNEXES. [From Our Corresponpest.] WELLINGTON, August 30. New Plymouth is to have the first consumptive annexe to ita hospital in the colony. The Hospital Board's efforts were so warmly backed Tip by the people of the town and district that £700 was raised by pubiio subscription for the purpose. , Ths idea of the Government is that afc each hospital an annexe should be erected fov the treatment of consumption, thus relieving the present congestion afc the Cambridge Sanatorium. Tho Health Department hopes that the example of the Taranaki people will be followed in other parts of the colony.
