He described the Redistribution Bill as* Dr Jameson's vengeance against the Bond. It wan a bad return for Mr Kruger's sparing his life. Mr Merriman waa disgusted with the hypocrisy of the Rand clergy, in pretending that the importation of the Chinese would afford a field for missionary enterprise. A Bond member has resigned/ to enable Mr Merriman to re-enter the Cape Assembly.
