. ♦- : HORSE SALES. At TattersalTs to-day there was an entry of sixty horses, and' 1 a good sale for useful sorts. Best draughts mad© from £38 to £50, medium from £25 to £35, best saddle and harness horses from £21 to £26, m?dium from £14 to £17, and hacks from £5 to £12. U At the Canterbury Horse Bazaar there was a fair entry of horses, mostly light sorts, and they sold at from £12 to £31. PIGS AND POULTRY. There was a fair number of pigs entered In to-day's markets^ and) they sold' at improved rates as follow : — Stores from 17s to 275, and suckers and; weaners from lla 6d to 19s 6d. There were exceptionally large entries for poultry, and owing to the operations of a Dunedin buyer and; local buyers tor export, the former having an order for 15,000 pairs, for South Africa, there was^ brisk competition and advanced prices. Hens brought, from 2s to 3s 9d, pullete from 3s 6d to 6s:6d, roosters from 2s 6d to 5s 6d, ducks from 3s to sa, and geese from 5s to 6s, ail it per pair.
