Miss Crossley received welcoming wires from the Premiers of New South Wales and Queensland, the Minister of Lands for Victoria, tho Lord Mayor of Melbourne, and Sir Joseph Ward, on behalf of the New Zealand Ministry, besides over fifty telegrams from -all parts of the colonies, and a huge bundle of letters. At Honolulu the passengers by the Sierra, decorated the' •steamer, according to local custom, with long wreaths of flowers in honour of Miss . Crossley's presence. Miss Crossley won the prize for the best conundrum on board. Before her departure from London the eminent singer had an interview with the Queen, who wished her success, and said Victoria must be very. proud of Mich* a brilliant series of singers, and especially of herself Miss Crossley went on to Sydney to-day, accompanied by HerrScberek; _■
