AIRSHIP'S NARROW ESCAPE.

During a gale in the United Staibes in July% a houseboat, containing Professor Langley's airship, valued at £15,000, was, torn from its anchonage in the Potomac River and nearly wrecked. Fortunately, it was stopped from going on the rocks, amd was eventually moored. The airship was not damaged by the accident, but its initial iiight will be delayed. It will be started on its flight by catapults, which will drive it along a railway on the top of the houseboat with immense fonce. The catapults consist of large brass cylinders containing coiled springs of great power, and will be worked by a gasoline motor.
