UNITED STATES RIGHTS OFF BORNEO.

With reference to the alleged American annexation of certain islands off the coast of Borneo, which some members of the Uouse of Commons appeared to think belong to Great Britain, the State Department of the United Stntes is prepared with conclusive evidence that the islands, which were taken over from Spain, are distant one marine league from the Borneo coast. By the treaty of 1885 between Great Britain, Germany and Spain, the last-named Power was given all the islands situated outside the one-league limit. .
