* [FmOK OUX OORftESrOHDBNT.] v . WELLINGTON, September 10. T^E SINGLE ELECTORATES BILL. When tie measure is bsiore the Legislative Council a. new clauss- will be substituted for that added to the BiH In the House, making provision far one licensing poll for ea«h city, despite tie carving up of the centres into single electorates. . FISHERIES CONSERVATION. The Fisheries Conservation Act Amendment- Bill, introduced by the Colonial Secretaay, .provides that the ■Governor may make regulations prescribing for the "issue of a uniform license, availablei throughout New .Zealand, to fish for trout and; .percli at tine following rates : — Licenses for, men, £1 for tfh® whole season, 5s for one. Month 1 , or 2s 6d for one week ; licenses for women aaid boys attending school, or under tie age of "sixteen, 10s for< tie whole season, 3s for one month, or Is 6d for one week.
