In the House there was a lively debate on Mr Reid's motion for adjournment The Government was charged with want of sinoerity and shuffling over the Arbitration Bill." Messrs Watson and Kingston said it had been abandoned on inadequate grounds, and whatever Government wa3 returned at the coming elections it would have to introduce a Bill containing the clause that the Government now objected to. The motion was formally negatived, and the financial debate was resumed.
