A SENSATIONAL INCIDENT.
An exciting incident (happened at tihe Jmion Company's Margaret* Street Wharf, Sydney, on "tihe occasiom of the (departure of the steamer Monowad for New Zealand. The alarm "Was raised, amid! one of tlhe -wharf tajnds. "a*m«d 'NiWook, rushed to the spot, arid "Wtihou* w«ltiing to divest (himself of his <flo£hes, plunged 1 overboamd to the rescue. Meanwhile great consternation prevailed amongst the crowd' on the Wharf, and the steamer was tept back. All feairs for the safety of those in the -water were, however, quickly allayed. Nlblock, who is a powerful swimmer, had seized the child ■wife one arm, and he kept the mother afloat with *he other, and all thcree weire hauled on to "the wharf T>y means of lifeIkes which had Ibeem -promptly thrown by «he crew of *he Mana.pouri, moored alangeide.
