A serious accident occurred in, the Graving Dock this afternoon, when three men engaged in cleaning ' the barque Woosung fell from a scaffolding to the floor of tile dock. A -workman namedi Doyle and a sailor named Greehbank were seriously injured. The latter, landing on his shoulder, fractmml tie bones of the upper part of ■his body to an extend not yet ascertained, and the former broke both his teas. .' Herbert Arthur Taconj aged twenty-six years; a son of Mr J. J. Tacon, diied suddenly at his father's residence, Berry Street, Sußiner, at 3 a.m. to-day. /He. was out fishing with his brother on Sunday, arid was apparently in sound liealtih when he went to 'bed. Afc three o'clock this morh- . ing, his bfoth&r 'woke to hear 'hinv gasping, and before 'help could be obtained the young •man was dead.. He,. had been unwell, and was attended, it is said, b.t Drs Ovenden and Townend, who found him to be suffering from a weak iheairt.
