I United Press Association — By Electric Telegraph — Copyright. (Received Jan. 3, 9.52 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 2. The death is announced of Lady Loftus, wife of Lord Augustus Loftus, at one time Governor of New South Wales.

— • . [Per Press Association.] GREYMOUTH, Jan. 3. The Rev G. H. Gray died suddenly early this morning. He had been in failing 'health for some time and had a sudden attack last night of angina pectoris. Death was caused by failure of the heart's action. Mr Gray, Who was sixty years of age, leaves a family of thirteen, all of wihom are grown up. He intended to retire from active service in April. Profound sympathy for his widow and family is expressed. 1 ■ •-.■••o '
