FIRES.

FIRE IN COLOMBO STREET. At 11.15 this morning a fire broke out in the block of old buildings at the corner of Colombo and Tuam Streets in a furniture shop occupied by Mrs Luke. The Fire Brigade turned out in full force, and did good work, and But for their efforts the whole block must have been destroyed, as a strong wind was blowing. Mrs Luke had £200 insurance in the United on stock valued at £"400. The block in which the shop stood was insured in the Sun Office for £900. Mrs .Luke had fortunately recently removed furniture to the approximate value of £100 into a shop lately occupied' by Mr A'Court.
