JUNIOR CUP.
The Lancaster Park-Sydenham and Addington Junior Cup match was commenced at Sydenham on Saturday. At present the game is in favour of Lancaster Park, who, in their first innings, scored 198. The chief contributor to this total was Cooke, who was responsible for 99, exactly half the nms scored by liis side. The other doublefigure scorers were Ma,son 17, Young 16 not out, Labatt 15, Atkinson 11 and Raphael 10. When time whs called, Sydenham had in their first innings put together 57 • for seven wickets (M'Meekan.l3 not out and Allardyce 13) . Robson and Grammer bowled best for Sydenham, and for Lancaster Park the wickets were divided between Bromley and Atkinson. The United and Midland Second Elevens began a match at Hagley Park, when the latter had somewhat the best of the day's play. Tlje scores were: — United .138 (S B. vVilson 37, Aitken 22, W. Harman 20 ivolleston 18 and "Weston 13) ; Midland 166 for seven wickets (J. B. Reese 43, A. Miller ISs, a\ Evans 25 not out, Ogier 22 not out, «. ..llson 22 and J. Prebble 14). H. -rebble bowled well for Midland, taking eighi wickets for 37 runs, and Ollivier, was the most successful trundler for United.
