• The Banking Bill was recommitted in the Legislative Council yesterday, and certain clauses were amended. The Juries Act Amendment Bill and St Albans Public Library Bill passed through committee. The debate on the report of the Police Commission was resumed in. the House of Repve- ' sentatives, but shortly after midnight a motion that it should be adjourned was carried on the casting vote of the Speaker. A motion by Mr Pirani, that the debate should be continued at 2.30 p.m. to-day, was negatived.
