MARKET REPORTS.

ADDINGTON. There was a good attendance at Addington Yards yesterday, and business had asound tone. The entries comprised 324 cattle, 6442 sheep and 265 pigs. Fat Cattle.— Six head from . North Otago were the only extra-provincial contribution to the yarding of 121 head, which included some good lines, and a somewhat smaller proportion than usual of secondary and inferior beef. Prices were firm at fully last week's values. The North Otago steers fetched £S 15stoi£ll 15s, sixteen steers from Mount Palm £8 17s 6d to 4311, a Peninsula line of steers £6 17a 6d to .£lO, and other lots at .£5 to .£lO for steers, £4 to £7 12s 6d for heifers, and £3 2s 6d to £6 7s 6d for cows, being at the rate of from ibout 12s 6d for inferior, up to 23s 6d for prime beef per 1001 b. Furze, maidens at 14s 6d to los lOd, aged at 13s 4d ; tor Messrs Bealey Bros., at 13s to 14s lid; for Mr J Grigg, at 15s 6d to 16s lOd ; a Methven line, at 15s to 16a 4d ; North Otago lines of 104 at 15s to 17s, and 103 at 15s 6d to 18s Id; a Southland line, at 16s 3d to 17s ; and other good lots at 13s to 17s 6d ; merino wethers, for Mr C. Ensor, at 15s 3d ; Birch Hill, 14s 2d to 15s 7d; Balmoral, 13s lOd to 15s 3d; Sir John Hall, 13s Id ; Mount Hutt, 11s 6d to 13s 3d; an Otago line, 10s 3d to 14s 3d; and other lots at from 7s 8d to 13s Id. Fat Lambs':— A fair" number of new season's came forward and sold at 8s 9d to lss 9d, a -few, being bought for freezing. Store Sheep. — Hoggets formed the bulk 6f the entry, and sold well, a line of 400 realising lls 3d to 11s 6d, and a line of 540 selling at lls to lls 3d ; other lots 7s lOd to lls sd. A small line of ewes (in lamb) sold at 93 7d, and a few odd lots of wethers, mostly factory rejects, at 9s Id to 123 lOd. Pigs— A small entry met a keen demand, and last week's prices were firmly maintained, baconers and porkers commanding 4^d to 4£d per lb. Uaconers fetched 37s 6d to 645, a line of Tarn worths from Mr W. C. Webb, Ricuarton, going at 58s 6d, porkers 21s to 365, and stores from 7s 3d for weaners up to 26s fi.r strong fatteners.
