RANGIORA.

There was a large attendance at the Rangicra market yesterday. At the Central Yards 2000 sheep v were entered, also 80 cattle and 75 pigs ; at the North Canterbury Yards 700 sheep and 20 head of cattle. Prices were : — Freezers 15s to 15s 9d, butchers' sheep 12s to 14s 6d, cross-bred hoggets 8s Id to 8s 6d, half-bred do 8s 6d to 9s 6d, half-bred ewes in lamb 8s 6d to 10s, old cross-bred ewes and lambs 5s 3d to 7s, forward store half-bred wethers (two and four-tooth) 12s to 12s 3d ; prime beef made 22s to 23s per 1001b, second quality 17s to 18s, cow beef 15s, springers £2 to £5, two to two-and-a-half-year-old steers £3 to. £3 13s, do heifers 35s to 40s, yearlings IBs to 225, calves 7s 6d to 10s ; pigs, baconers 50si to 60s, porkers 35s to 40s, good stores 18s to 20s, small do 12s to 14s, weaners 9s to 11s. In the produce yards prices were — Heavy cross-bred skins 4s to ss, hoggets and light skins 2s to 3s 6d, merinoes 2s 6di to ss, bag wool 4d to 7d per lb, hides 2d to 3d per lb, fat 9s to lls 6d per cwt ; fowls 2s to 3s 6d per pair, ducks 3s to 4s, whole wheat 3s 6d per bushel, broken do 2s to 3s 3d, oats 2s 6d to 2s Bd\ beans 3s 9d to 4s ; peas, Prussian Blues 4s to 4s 9d, Partridge and Duns 3s 3d to 3s 6d, seed barley 4s to 4s 6d; grass seed, faitaiers' lines 2s 6d to 3s, machine do 3s 6d to 4s 3d, cocksfoot 3d to 3|d per lb, cowgrass (farmers') 3d to sd, do machine-dressed 6d to 6£d, white clover 5d to 6£d, straw chaff 30s to 35s per ton, oat-sheaf 65s to 755, bran 755, sharps 90s, flour 20s to 23s per sack, potatoes £4 to £5 per ton, carrots 20s per ton.
