In the produce yards prices were — Heavy cross-bred skins 4s to ss, hoggets and light skins 2s to 3s 6d, merinoes 2s 6di to ss, bag wool 4d to 7d per lb, hides 2d to 3d per lb, fat 9s to lls 6d per cwt ; fowls 2s to 3s 6d per pair, ducks 3s to 4s, whole wheat 3s 6d per bushel, broken do 2s to 3s 3d, oats 2s 6d to 2s Bd\ beans 3s 9d to 4s ; peas, Prussian Blues 4s to 4s 9d, Partridge and Duns 3s 3d to 3s 6d, seed barley 4s to 4s 6d; grass seed, faitaiers' lines 2s 6d to 3s, machine do 3s 6d to 4s 3d, cocksfoot 3d to 3|d per lb, cowgrass (farmers') 3d to sd, do machine-dressed 6d to 6£d, white clover 5d to 6£d, straw chaff 30s to 35s per ton, oat-sheaf 65s to 755, bran 755, sharps 90s, flour 20s to 23s per sack, potatoes £4 to £5 per ton, carrots 20s per ton.
