Dr B. S. Bull, M.A., __.Sc. of Canterbury College, who went Home some years ago to pursue his studies in chemistry, has been remarkably successful. After working at analytical chemistry in London, he qualified as an Associate of tho Institute of Analysts of Great Britain and Ireland. Thence he went to Munich, where he recently took the degree of Ph.d. Dr Bull has lately received an appointment as analyst in Greenwich. Private prize- , as under, have been placed jit the disposal of the committee of the Agricultural and Pastoral Association for allocation at the forthcoming November show: — The Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry £10 10s, and the Chris .church Hunt Club £5 5s in the light horse classes. The Canterbury Mounted _tifl es will probably contribute a prize in the sajne classes. Messrs W. Strange and Co. < lifer £2 2s for fresh butter, and £3 3s for cheese.
