- *i [From Our Correspondent.] WELLINGTON, Sept. 12. The Estimates will be further considered in the House to-morrow. A protracted siting is expected on Wednesday, when the report of the Police Commission will be debated, and Thursday will probably see the second reading of the Old Age Pensions Bill agreed to. The Deputy-Speaker, Mr Guinness, holds that he was right in excepting ladies from the order of the House that strangers should , be excluded, contending that, despite the ■ Standing Orders, the question is governed j by the decisions of the House of Commons j on the subject. I The Government intends introducing a Bill ] to amend the Tramways Act.
