For Northern Ports and Westport, also supplementary for Australian Colonies (to connect witli Tarawera), per Rotomahana, at 7.45 p.m. ; late fee letters, 8 p.m. ; guard's van, 9.15 p.m. train. Friday, Dec. 31. For Greymouth and West Coast, per Rosamond, at 11.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.20 a.m. ; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Flora, at 4.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, 4.35 p.m. ; guard's van, 5.30 p.m. train. For Chatham Islands, per Kahu, at 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; guard's van, 9.15 p.m. train. Due Vancouver Jan. 29; London Feb. 11. flails for South America, &c , per Star of New Zealand, close at Wellington on Dec. 31. Mails for Noumea and Fiji leave Sydney on Jan. 5. Mails for Sonth Africa leave Melbourne on Jan. 6. Mails for Norfolk Island, per May Howard, close at Auckland on Jan, 6 at 11 a.m. Mails for Tonga, Samoa and Fiji, per Ovalau, close at Auckland on Jan. 12 at 4 p.m. NEW YEAR'S DAY POSTAL ARRANGEMENTS. The Post Ofiice will be closed all day. Mails for despatch on New Year's Day will close at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31. A counter delivery of letters will be made at Chief Post Office from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m. on Friday. A special clearance of all letter receivers will be made on Friday at 4 p.m. There will be no clearance on New Year's Day. E. Kibton, Chief Postmaster.
