WELLINGTON, Jan. 5. A gardoner named John Kemp, awed seventy, -who was seized with paralyses, died while being conveyed from the Lower Hutt to the Wellington Hospital. It is understood that he has no relatives hi the colony.

__ __ . DUNEDIN, Jan. 5. The body of James Anderson, a younoman who has been missing from Kaitangata for a few days, waa. found in the river to-day.

A little child was knocked down by a cart at the cornet*, of Cashe. and Colombo Streets this morning, and was taken to the hospital by Mr E. Smith. As it injuries were not very serious, rt waa afterwards taken home, by its mother.
