MORRIS-TUBE SHOOTING.
On Friday evening the members of the Christchurch Working Men's Club Rifle Class fired another competition at 3OOyds for prizes presented by Messrs Ashby, Bergh and Co., Fletcher, Humphreys and Co., W. W. Collins, M.M.R., Bates and Co., the Crown Brewery Company and the Saxon Tea Company. The following were the highest scorers: — D. Ashton (4) 35, W. G, Munford (3) 34, A. Cowan (1) 33, E. G. Forgie (4) 33, J. A. Lummis (1) 32, J. Hounsell (4) 32. On Thursday evening the Sydenham Working Men's Club Rifle Class fired a match on their range with the Lyttelton Morris-tube Class — ten men a side at 200yds— the Club winning by 283 to 278. After the match a very enjoyable hour was spent. On Friday evening the Club fired the third competition for Messrs Lascelles and Glen's trophy at the 200 yds range. The following were the highest scorers : — Harvey (7) 35, Skelton (scr) 33, Oliver (scr) 32, Young (3) 32.
