RIFLE SHOOTING.

A match was fired at the Bromley range on Satiu'day between the E Battery and N Battery corps, and resulted in a win for the E Battery after a close contest. Owing to a choppy nor'-west wind, which changed to a strong sou'-westei* at 600 yds, the shooting was very erratic. N Battery— Sergeant Souter 78i Corporal Wardle 73, Gunner Bladder 72, Gunner Treleaven- 63, Corporal Taylor 51, Gunner Bell 50, Sergeant Beazley 49, Gunner Felton 46, Gunner Sinclair 36, Sergeant-Major Arnold 34 ; total 552. On Saturday afternoon the members of the Kaiapoi Eifles continued their shootir g for Captain Millar's trophy.
