FIRES.
[Per Press Association.] NAPIER, Oct. 19. An eight-roomed house at West Clive, owned by J. Heron and occupied by W. Geordine, was destroyed by fire at three o'.clock yesterday ' morning. Insurances, on the building .£2OO in the North German and on the furniture .£75 in the South British office. DUNEDIN, Oct. 19. A four-roomed house in Grant Street was completely destroyed by fire this morning. The house was insured for .£BO in the New Zealand office, and the furniture was uninsured.
