MORNING SITTING.
THE ELECTIONS. . The House met at 11 n.m. In reply to Captain Russell, Mr Seddon said the elections could not be held within a month. Members could rest satisfied aboafc that. He saw no necessity for calling Parliament together before the usual tame. THE SPEAKER. On behalf of the House, Mr Seddon expressed high appreciation of the way in ■which the Speaker had carried out his duties during the Parliament just expiring, and hoped that he would again place his services at the disposal of the colony. Captain Russell also . expressed his admiration for the ability with which Sir G. M. OTSorke had carried out his duties as Speaker. SnrG. M. O'Rorke, in acknowledging the compliment, said he had left it for his constituents to say whether he should again enter the House. At 12.30 the House adjourned till 2.30, when the final adjournment was made,
