The election for the Froine Division of Somerset, rendered necessary by the succession of the sitting member, Viscount Weymouth, to the title of Marquis of Bath, took place to-day and resulted in the return of Mr J. E. Barlow, the Radical candidate, who defeated Lord Thynne, Tory, by a majority of 279 votes. [At the general elections Viscount Weymouth, the . Conservative candidate, was returned by a majority of 383 over Mr Barlow.] In the- election for "Wick Burgh, consequent on the resignation of Sir John lender, MrT.C.
