AMBULANCE WORK.
At the annual meetingof the Dunedin _ centre of the St John Ambulance Association, the report stated that the membership was 1192, an increase of 895 during the year. Branches had increased by 19. The Hon J. G. Ward, who presented the diplomas, in the course of some remarks, without giving a definite indication as to what should be done by the Government, expressed his conviction that the country should give some contribution to the noble medical officers who visit those portions of the country where medical men do not reside to give instruction in ambulance work.
