IN CHAMBERS. Thursday, June 4. (Before his Honor Mr Justice Denniston.) His Honor held a sitting in Chambers at 11 a.m. RE SOUTH CANTERBURY BUILDING AND INVESTMENT COMPANY. Mr Franks, for Mr Kimbley, appeared in support of a motion for an order for creditors herein to prove. His Honor granted the application, and ordered claims to be sent in by July 1 next. PROBATES. His Honor granted probate of the wills of John Ruddenklau (Mr Beswick for Mr Helmore), Walter Dickson (Mr Flesher), T. H. W. Lanyon (Mr Nalder), Christopher Arkle (Mr Franks for Mr Kippenberger), and James Gammack (Mr Cresswell). [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, June 4. At the Supreme Court, Thomas William Seamen pleaded guilty to three charges of larceny of the moneys of Road Boards of which he was clerk, and was sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment. WELLINGTON, June 3. Charles Gurote, charged with, horsestealing at Dannevirke, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment. DUNEDIN, June 4. In Hardies case the jury disagreed, and there will be a fresh trial on Monday.
